You get this the moment you publish. Nothing to set up, nothing to wait for.

Your own domain
If you already own a domain, or want your brand rather than ours in the address. Available on the Complete plan.
- 1Buy the domain if you do not have one
GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare Registrar, BigRock — any of them work.
- 2Send us the domain name
Tell us the domain you want and which path it should point to. We will confirm it is available and free of conflicts first.
- 3We give you the DNS records
Two values: a CNAME and a verification TXT. You paste them into your registrar’s DNS panel.
- 4Wait for it to go live
Usually a few hours, occasionally up to 48 hours. SSL is issued automatically — no action needed from you.
Honest note: we do not currently issue SSL for external domains ourselves. Until that is switched on, point the domain to us and we will serve it over the Exex address, or we will walk you through the alternative. We would rather tell you now than have you find out later.
Names that are reserved
These are used by Exex itself, so they cannot be claimed as your subdomain.
Anything else is yours if it is still free — we will tell you at publish time if the name has already gone.
